Class Description
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor Course
The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Course is designed to prepare qualified candidates to teach, evaluate, and deliver AHA BLS Provider courses in accordance with the most current AHA guidelines.
This course focuses on instructor responsibilities, effective teaching strategies, skills evaluation, course administration, and maintaining AHA training standards. Emphasis is placed on delivering consistent, high-quality education and leading hands-on, scenario-based training.
Upon successful completion, candidates are eligible to teach AHA BLS Provider courses and issue official AHA BLS certification cards through an authorized Training Center.
Prerequisites (Required Prior to Class Start)
Participants must complete the AHA Instructor Essentials Course for BLS prior to attending the in-person Instructor Course. Proof of completion is required at the start of class.
